Changing Rats’ Successful Survival Rates

Rats

If a group of crows is called a murder of crows, what is a group of rats called? Answer: A mischief of rats. QFI Pest Control’s service managers will quickly assure you that rats are more dangerous than mischievous. “They are destructive as well as carriers of harmful viruses and bacteria.”

So, despite some fascinating features and characteristics that are part of rat life and despite their long-time association with humans – rats are bad news. You don’t want them in and around your property and buildings. Every building is at risk now that rats have migrated to the Okanagan, Shuswap and Thompson regions. Rats only need a space the size of a quarter in order to enter any building. That is really a very small gap.

The rats are here now and their history as opportunistic survivors living near humans is legendary. However, The QFI Pest Control team would like to significantly modify the rat’s survival chances in the Okanagan, Shuswap and Thompson regions.

A rat, given good living conditions - and the living is easy in our region - can live up to 2.5 years. QFI’s goal is to eliminate Mr. Rat so that he doesn’t survive that long. And to also eliminate Mrs. Rat so she doesn’t produce six to 14 offspring every three weeks. The QFI Pest Control team will succeed in bringing control to these regions if you call them.

QFI's technicians want you to tell them about your concerns and problems with rats. They will carefully assess your physical situation and, following the most up-to-date safety guidelines, they will install, monitor and maintain a year-round rodent control program customized for your situation.

Changing the rats’ successful survival rate in our region is something we can do together. Call 250-808-9068 to help solve the problem where you are – we are all better off for your having called QFI Pest Control.
